Beaver Mountain Wedding // Utah Intimate Wedding // Mountain Wedding // Bethany + Kaleb

Beaver Mountain was the perfect backdrop for this wedding! It was such a pleasure to be a part of. Besides working with two people who were so easy going, quick to be friends with, and so open about connecting, it was a sweet intimate wedding I would not have wanted to miss.

Her friends made their ceremony arch which was the talk of the night. Her dress could not have fit her beautiful frame better. One of her best friends was the officiator and had everyone in tears, especially the groom Kaleb who couldn’t have been more tender and sweet about marrying Bethany. Everything was so beautiful, so laid back, and so them. Every detail. I want to let her tell you herself about her wedding experience and about the love between the two of them. She wrote the kindest thing to me when I asked her favorite part of the planning process it was the nicest words from my couple ever! : “Our favorite part was finding AMAZING photographers, having a blast taking engagement photos, seeing how gorgeous they turned out, and being stoked for the wedding pictures! (Not kissing up at all, honestly! The rest of this wedding planning has been SO stressful. Photography has been the smoothest, most fun thing!)”. I absolutely loved getting to know this couple and I hope we always stay friends!

From Bethany:
We met at our local rock climbing gym, spring 2016. Neither of us were planning on climbing that night, but both ended up there anyway. We had never met, despite growing up in the same valley. After introducing ourselves, chatting, and climbing a while, I (Bethany) casually asked him (Kaleb) to dinner. He said yes, opened the car door for me, and paid for the meal. That was the beginning of our beautiful, adventurous, joyful, and loving relationship. 3 years later, on my birthday, while hiking in a remote canyon in Moab, he surprised me with an engagement ring. I, of course, said yes. ♡

Our goal through the planning of this wedding and reception was to provide an atmosphere where everyone in attendance felt comfortable, loved, and happy. All in all, it may shave seemed unstructured to some, but that was the idea. Genuine, organic moments without the distraction of a strict agenda or unnecessary technology. The ceremony itself was "unplugged" so everyone could be truly present as part of our special moment.

The venues we choose are two of our favorite locations where we can be ourselves and detach from the business of everyday life. We wanted those attending to also feel separated from life's worries as we did.
As odd as it seems we didn’t have music for the ceremony. We wanted the moments to flow naturally, without the worry of potential technological difficulties.

Our most valuable piece of advice for making a relationship work: Listen to each other. Recognize your differences, your strengths, your weaknesses, your goals, dreams, aspirations. Notice how together, you create balance between it all.

Madi + Mckay Bridals // Ogden Canyon First Look // Ogden Wedding Photographer

This was such a fun couple to do photos for. Their families are the nicest families. We had such a fun time even though we were freezing and sinking in the snow during this shoot. Their engagement session was seriously so fun, I knew their bridals would be too. They are so cute and sweet together. And can we talk about this bouquet??!! OH. MY. GOSH! I could NOT get enough of it. It’s seriously so beautiful.

I love all the details that come into play for a wedding, the dress, shoes, hair, bouquet, makeup. There is so much to think about during a wedding and so many things that need put together that if you haven’t considered using a Wedding Planner, you definitely should. And I have a list of some of the most talented ones you can use. Let’s talk, find you the best fit, and make your wedding day perfect for you without all the stress!

Brophy-Oneil Engagments // Utah Wedding Photographer // Snowy Engagements

We had so much fun on this snowy engagement session! It wasn’t snowing when we started the session, but all the sudden it dumped on us! I thought they would want to quit shooting, but they just went with it and laughed and we had a good time. I love when my couples are adventurous and up for whatever fun is thrown our way. Excited for their wedding day!! Congratulations you two!

Mountain Engagements //Utah Engagements // Utah Weddings

Lacee and Samuel met on Mutual (an online dating app) and after doing this shoot its super easy to see that the feelings are DEFINITELY mutual! :) They had their first date at Firehouse Pizza, and Lacee said she knew he was a good one when she choked on her pasta and he still liked her after that! They are such a cute couple and naturals in front of the camera! He was so sweet and romantic with her and she had no problem flirting back with him and just being super fun. They were even adventurous enough to get in the water and splash around at the end of the shoot! Happy wedding day you two!! So excited for you and all the great adventures that await!

Karissa + Weston // Mountain Bridals // Utah Wedding Photographer

Weston was in a bad accident that almost took his life.  He was in a coma for 10 days, lost eyesight in one eye, the sense of smell, and walked away learning never to take life for granted….
