The Little Things // In-Home Session // Logan, Utah

When love can be something so tangible.  When it can reach within you and move you.  When your soul is filled to the brim with absolute undying love.  When the world stands still and all is quiet. Everything feels right. Love feels so good.

I'm not interested in capturing love the way I want it to look.  That does nothing for me to pose you how I want you, to tell you how to look or how to show your love. To look at me and smile. It won't be memorable to you, it won't be felt by you.  but I AM interested in capturing it the way it IS. The way you see one another.  The way you run your fingers through his hair, or the way you cradle her face in your hands.  The way you melt into one another and the sweet looks you pass back and forth.  The full belly, snort out loud laughs that he makes come out of you, or the quiet tender moments she rests her head on your chest. Quietly sipping hot chocolate or coffee wrapped in a blanket, or the loud wrestling matches on a rug as tickle matches break out.   These moments are you.  They are what make up your love. And this is the story I want to tell in front of my lens.

She loves being able to lay her head on him. Whether its his shoulder, chest, or lap. She just likes to be close. His favorite way to snuggle with her is when he's not feeling great and he just lays down on her lap and she holds him. A tangible moment that means everything to them.

These are  the little things I get to learn about all these husbands and wives, boyfriends and girlfriends, partners.  All the things I am privileged to photograph for them. And mostly their heart for one another. What the word LOVE looks like to them. What does Love look like to you!?  Someday you will look back and want to remember.  Remember what each year love looked like for you.  Not the traditional look at the camera and fake a smile together for the sake of the capture.  But what love really was to you at that time in your life.  Do you hear me?  Do you feel my heart?  I want you to remember.  Remember that even when times get hard, there are these moments of love between you to look back on. To see what your love looked like- really looked like from year to year.  It will change.  It will look different from year to year.  But that's the joy of love.  It changes, and deepens, and exists.  Keep it existing. And remembered.
