This is my sister ShaMayne's beautiful family. Two of their children just got home from serving missions and another just left. They are great, kind, loving people and I'm grateful to call them family.
My brother-in-law, Jack, has stage 4 colon cancer... every moment they have together really matters in such a big way. Jack has been in my family since before I was even born. They were married a year before I even joined the family, so I've always been very close to him. He's more a brother then a brother in law. We never know how long we have left with those we love who have health problems, so every day has to count. I feel privileged to take these pictures for them and capture the love and growth, maturity and bond between them all.
Hug your loved ones a little tighter, try to be a little more patient, a little more understanding. Find the good and try not to dwell on the bad. Because- I guess we never really know how much more time we will get with them.
